Founded in August 2024, Detroit Children’s Surgery Center proudly serves pediatric and special needs patients throughout the Detroit area. As an ambulatory surgery center specializing in general anesthesia dentistry and comprehensive dental care, we provide safe, comfortable care in a welcoming environment.
Our experienced team of dental professionals offers pediatric and special needs procedures in a state-of-the-art setting. Treatment is completed in a single visit while patients sleep peacefully throughout their procedure, providing families with a convenient and stress-free experience.
We work closely with local dentists and specialists to provide access to high-quality care for children and special needs patients requiring general anesthesia dentistry. Patients and families trust our team for our compassionate care, experienced providers, advanced safety standards, and commitment to making treatment accessible. We proudly accept Medicaid, most PPO insurance plans, and private pay options.

The front desk staff, nurses, and doctors were all extremely kind, welcoming, and supportive to us and our daughter. We were seen right on time, which we really appreciated.
Dr. Doyle came in and took the time to explain everything clearly what she was going to do and all the possible outcomes. She made us feel very comfortable and reassured. She also did her best to place crowns on all the affected teeth without losing any baby tooth roots and thankfully, she succeeded. Her work is truly amazing. We had a wonderful experience yesterday during my son’s dental treatment. The center is extremely clean, with new and modern equipment, which made us feel comfortable right away.
The staff is absolutely outstanding — very attentive, kind, and highly professional. The doctors truly know what they are doing and took great care of my son throughout the entire procedure.
We would especially like to highlight our nurse, Cameryn. She was incredibly caring, gentle, and supportive, making the whole experience much easier for both my son and me.
We are very grateful and highly recommend this center to anyone looking for excellent dental care for their children.
Wow. I was referred here by my hygentist due to being an autistic, medically complex adult. I had a few teeth that needed removed and many cavities. They will be able to do everything in 3 sessions without trauma or pain to me. Traditionally this kind of care is incredibly expensive and cold. This place has been nothing but sweet, affordable, through, and caring. They accept most insurances, even Medicaid. Staff is amazing and knowledgeable. I was sent home with a full aftercare protocol. When I had to find a support person last minute they managed to reschedule my surgery for later that same day. My only small complaints would be that of any doctors office, wait times can be lengthy, and sometimes they forget to follow up with you.
My only regret is not hearing about them sooner.
I overall had a very good experience but the best part was my sweet nurse Hannah. Very calm and reassuring the entire time. I have horrible health anxiety especially when it comes to the dentist and she made the experience so much easier on me. The sweet lady at the front desk was also soooo kind and sweet!!
