We had such a great experience here! The front desk Lisa, was so friendly and helpful. The new manager Christy is doing an amazing job creating a welcoming environment. The nurses were so sweet and caring. Marcela the dental assistant was wonderful with the kids and made everyone feel comfortable. The whole team was professional, compassionate, and amazing with children during dental procedures. Thank you all for making what could be a stressful day so much easier!

My 12year old son was seen by Santa Maria Children's Surgery Center yesterday. He was fully sedated for Dental Treatment. The staff from front office to back office to nurses were amazing with my son and us very nervous parents. This was a very a stressful situation for us and the staff was calming and utilized all their tools and knowledge in dealing with my very uncooperative son. I am giving 4 stars only because the consult appointment was a little rough, it was a different front office person and the wait was pretty long, but I would go through it again to make sure my sons dental needs were met, and I understand the wait may have been because the staff was having to meet the needs of other patients that day.

I want to start by saying we had to schedule and reschedule a couple of times. It was during a heavy sick season, and there was also a day when the anesthesiologist was out sick. On top of that, I had read some negative reviews beforehand that honestly made me nervous. I even called and told them straight up how I was feeling. As a mom of a five-year-old who needed to go under anesthesia, I was already anxious, and those reviews added to it. Because of all that, I told myself that if anything felt off on the day of the procedure, I would leave. This was all new to me, and I wanted to trust my instincts. I’m really glad we went through with it. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted by a professional, calm, and welcoming front desk staff member who helped me with the paperwork on the iPad and made the whole check-in process feel easy. Shortly after, the nurse brought us back, took vitals, and walked us through everything. She was incredibly thorough, kind, and reassuring. I felt comfortable being completely honest about my nerves, and she took the time to answer all of my questions and really put me at ease. My son also felt comfortable and safe before his procedure, which meant everything to me. He had three crowns done under anesthesia, and the entire experience was smooth and positive. Every single person we interacted with was kind, professional, and genuinely caring. I even told them in person that the reviews had made me nervous, and they were nothing but understanding and reassuring. I’m sharing this because I almost let those negative reviews scare me away, and that would have been a mistake. Our experience was nothing like that. This place absolutely deserves a positive rating, and I’m very grateful for the care they gave my son.
